As much annoyance as William Wordsworth has caused me, I do enjoy some of his poetry. A poem composed in 1798, "Expostulation and Reply," is often quoted, usually appropriately:
'The eye it cannot choose but see,
We cannot bid the ear be still;
Our bodies feel where'er they bee.
Against or with our will.
